I can’t believe a year has already gone by since this maternity session. It was my first time shooting at Kaena Point and I was blown away by the beautiful mountains and scenery. This lovely family wanted more of the mountain scenery so we didn’t venture down to the rocky beach area but I still captured bits of ocean in the photographs for them. I love the way the light hits the grass in this area and mom was a natural for her maternity photos! Check out the photos below…
I am a strong dislike-er of cloudless skies. Quite the opposite when people think about photographs but skies full of clouds (overcast is a different story) make for amazingly-lit beautiful and dramatic sessions!
The W Family planned their weekend around their sunrise session and rented a cabin over at Bellows AFB so it wouldn’t be a far drive from where their home is on West Oahu. The sunrise during their session was epic and I loved all the color in the sky that morning. As always, my families all photograph so well and I think I luck out and get to work with the best clients ever!
I loved meeting and photographing Iris and her family last year. They were visiting Oahu from Korea, how cool is that?! Since they were staying at Aulani in Kapolei, I recommended a beach on the west side of the island. We had their session at Yokohama Bay up the Waianae Coast and it was a lovely evening!
