Emma, Mommy and Me Session | Kapolei, HI
A week or so before Memorial Day weekend Amber contacted me asking if I could pencil her in for a very special reason. I can’t and will not turn down a returning client (especially previous newborn clients, I love watching those babies grow!) and will always find a way to fit them in.
We planned the session on the first day of the four-day Memorial holiday weekend and the weather was great–partly cloudy skies with plenty of soft sunshine! Emma was a little tired from a restless night (these type of scenarios always seem to happen when you have a scheduled session lol), but she was very attentive and super adorable!
We started in-studio and ended outdoors at the trail by my home. Amber and Emma did an amazing job and I was able to capture a lot of sweet moments. Poor Emma was so tired, she drifted in and out of sleep on Amber’s lap while I was snapping away.
A week later, Amber was able to surprise and give her husband the photographs from her session before he left for OCS and I heard it was a very touching moment! To be able to hold on to a photograph of a loved one (not just looking at them through an electronic device) while away is such a wonderful feeling and I am so happy to be able to provide that to my clients.
