Kirstyn, Honolulu Child Photographer
So I was supposed to write this post a week ago, but now is better than never right? This post features my eldest daughter, Kirstyn, since you never see much of her in my photographs haha. She is six years old, in first grade, and very timid and shy around strangers. Once you get to know her, or she feels comfortable around you, she can be a hoot. She’s at that stage where she will question everything–mostly because she is just so curious and wants to know the why’s and how’s of how things work–and doesn’t understand sarcasm. Unlike my other two kids, she is very much a daddy’s girl and loves spending time with him. She is a bit of a tomboy but absolutely loves her long hair and doesn’t want to cut it short, ever. One thing I’ve learned from photographing Kirstyn throughout the years is that she does not do well with being posed. If you try to direct her into a pose, you will be met with a stiff upper body and a forced smile. But hey, just tell her to “go play” and you will see just how much of a crazy person she is :). I hope you were able to learn a little bit about Kirstyn in this post…of course it wouldn’t be complete without a series of images. Enjoy!
