Sibling Fun! | Oahu Child Photographer
I don’t remember the last time I took all three of my children out for a photo session. It’s stressful enough with one child by myself, I brought all three along and my husband opted to stay home (thanks a lot, hon).
My husband did cook an early dinner for the kids and I gave them a (lengthy) pep-talk while I was getting them ready. We arrived at Ford Island around 6:00pm and holy heck it was humid! The sun was a little too high for my liking so I started shooting in a more shaded area with the sunlight peeking through and I figured we would end the shoot at the open field once Mr. Sun had gone over the mountain.
I never got to shoot the last part. Sad day, as the sunset was absolutely beautiful. What happened? We were pretty much eaten by mosquitoes even though we generously sprayed bug spray all over our arms and legs before heading out.
The good part? In the short fifteen to twenty minutes I had with my kids, I was able to get a few great shots in and they were complete hams. I shot video (you can watch it on my homepage) for the first time and the kids LOVED it. They were really relaxed and just having fun knowing that I was recording them at certain times.
I’ll have to revisit this location again, this time with more bug repellent.
