Spring is here! Howard County Family Photographer

Where did the time go?! My last post was about a week and a half ago and so much has happened since then. I think it’s so funny how photography sessions tend to group together then you have a break and the cycle starts all over again. Anyway to sum it all up…

I had a couple of sessions on Saturday April 5th for my Spring Mini Session clients who decided to hold their session date instead of switching over to Summer Mini Sessions (by the way, which we (Jessica and myself) have just ONE spot left! You can check out the details HERE or view the blog post from April 3rd. The Saturday minis were followed by two more sessions on Sunday–I will be blogging maybe one or two of the sessions soon!

This past Sunday, the 13th a friend and I had spoke together about trading family sessions (her husband is the photographer) down at the Tidal Basin since the cherry blossoms were at its peak bloom. Unfortunately things didn’t go as planned with the craziness that is D.C. traffic and my children were getting cranky from the crowds, the walking, and the sun (although the heat wasn’t too bad!). I was able to capture a few photos of the children nonetheless and all of the petals on the ground made for some amazing bokeh.

The images below are from my personal collection, just photos captured throughout the week and can you tell I have a serious backlighting obsession? 🙂

I hope everyone has a wonderful week (my kids are on spring break so I get to plan all sorts of activities for them to keep them from being bored) and stay tuned for the next post!
