W & J, Barber’s Point Beach | Honolulu Couples Photographer
I’m so excited that Whitney and Ian’s session has been blogged from my blog queue. I met them two years ago in Maryland. Whitney contacted me for a couples session so they could gift prints to their family members. When I heard that they were moving to Hawaii shortly after, I knew I had to get in touch with them when I got back! W & J are one of the most kind, sweet, and easy going couples I know and they let me take full control of the session.
Since they were in the Ewa Beach/Kapolei area and I wanted to try a new shooting location, I recommended Barber’s Point Beach. There’s a lighthouse over there that I really wanted to incorporate into their session and Whitney chose a great dress to complement the traditional and contemporary sea/beach theme.
If you’re familiar with this part of the island (my family and I lived in Ewa Beach for three years), you know how dry it tends to be until the rainy season (around Jan-April). As I was driving to the location, I was in awe at how green the landscape was due to the recent amount of heavy rainfall. The lush and overgrown grassy areas by the lighthouse really completed the look I was going for, I couldn’t be happier to be able to photograph an amazing couple at such an awesome location, check out my favorites below!
I am a natural light portrait and lifestyle couple’s photographer located in Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu. I love capturing posed and candid moments of two people sharing their love for each other while having fun at the same time! If you’re interested in talking more about a couple’s session, please contact me soon. I look forward to hearing from you.
