Joanna | Portrait & Lifestyle Photographer in Honolulu, Hawaii
For those who know me, you will say that I’m pretty soft-spoken and shy. I don’t do well in large crowds and I am a terrible public speaker. I was feeling a bit downtrodden and missing my friends in Maryland, but instead of just wallowing in self-pity I decided I should put myself out there and start to get to know people. So, I asked in my local photography group if anyone wanted to meetup and “refresh” their About Me sections on their websites.
Of course, I wanted it to be an open invitation to try and get to meet as many people as possible. When I saw the RSVP count, I’ll be honest and say that I was starting to get a little nervous haha. When the day of the meetup came, a lot of photographers had to back out due to scheduling changes and life getting in the way. Three other ladies made it to the meetup and while we were bummed for those who couldn’t make it, it all worked out in the end because we really got to focus on each person and snap away.
I’ll make three separate blog posts so I can show a decent sized collection of images for each photographer that was there. First up (in the order of the images in my camera) is Joanna of Snapped With Love Photography (http://www.snappedwithlovephotography.com/). I’m so glad she volunteered to go first, because she definitely knew what she was doing when it came to posing for portraits! I learned a few tricks from her so I’m glad I was able to make a new friend and learn something along the way.
