Lisa, Sunrise at Lanai Lookout – Honolulu, HI | Oahu Family Photographer
Oh my gosh, I can’t begin to explain how amazing this styled session at Lanai Lookout was! First, a huge thanks to my friend Kat Parker of Kat Parker Photography for getting this little sunrise rendezvous together. Kat had been wanting to check out Lanai Lookout for a while now and she messaged me one day asking to check it out via a shootout. Who better to use than one of our own, Lisa of Lisa Furlong Photography!
The day of the meetup was a bit hilarious because we are NOT morning people but when I picked Lisa up, she was awake and ready to go–thanks so much Lisa! When we arrived, I made a silly mistake and took us down the cliff the hard way but we all survived, haha. I just love this particular location, it’s vastly different from any other part of Oahu and it feels like we are in the desert or on a different planet! Did you know that Lanai Lookout got its name from the fact that you can see the other Hawaiian island, Lanai from this vantage point? Pretty neat, right?
Lisa changed into a few different amazing dresses provided by Kat as we brushed up on our women’s posing. I absolutely loved the light peeking through the rock walls and the black and white conversions made the gravel specks look like stars! Check out the images below and tell me what you think!
P.S. – Add this location to your list of “Places to Visit on Oahu” if your a visitor or temporarily living here, you won’t regret looking for Lanai Island while you watch the sunrise. It’s also a great for whale watching during whale season!
